Welcome to the Owl Bookshop

NEWS

NEW OPENING HOURS! Monday - Saturday 9am-7pm Sunday 11am-6pm Our opening hours have been extended! You can now shop at the Owl from 9am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.   It looks like some form of lockdown is returning but this time the shop will be allowed to stay open. We're confident that our current measures are keeping our staff and customers safe, and can happily encourage browsing. There are now usually three booksellers on the shop floor to help with recommendations and safety.  If you are reluctant to spend time in the shop then please call ahead with your requests and we can put your books aside to collect at the counter or the shop door. Payment can be made over the phone once your bag is ready.  For those of you shielding at home we can deliver books to your door, call us or email us with your requests. We may have to charge postage at cost depending on your distance from the shop. So please see our current recommendations below and follow the links to reserve anything that you would like to purchase. For those of you thinking about Christmas our 20% off day is on the 29th November, restrictions permitting! With best wishes from the Owl team -  Anna, Gary, Harriet, Heather and Lizzy
